About Dia :
Born on 9th December 1982 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her father was a German interior designer, Frank Handrich and her mother is a Bengali, Deepa. Dia’s parents divorced when she was six years old. Her father passed away three years later. Her mother remarried a Muslim, Ahmed Mirza.
She spent her school years in Hyderabad at the Vidyaranya High School for Boys & Girls and later at Nazr School.
Dia was dating Bunty Sachdev, actor Kunal Kapoor and director Apoorva Lakhia.
She was placed as second runner up at the Femina Miss India 2000 and represented India and won the title of Miss Asia Pacific in 2000.
